Tiger Nerite Snail

The tiger blood snail, or tiger nerite snail, has a distinct wavy pattern on the shell and loves algae. These snails do not harm plants or overrun the aquarium. Nerites only grow to a little less than one inch, so several would be needed for effective algae control in an aquarium of ten gallons or more.
