Sumo Loach
The sumo loach is named for the the broad colorful band around the body that mimics the belt around a martial artists waist. And these guys will push each other around to control their own part of the tank, but they are gentle to all other creatures. Since sumo loaches only grow to two inches large fish such as African cichlids would not be appropriate tank mates. Generally any community species should get along with the sumo loach. These small martial artists stay on the bottom of the fish tank and scavenge for most of their food. Since the loaches are caught in small streams in Burma they need good aeration in the water, any airstone would work.
