Squareback Anthias
Its unique color variation, the Squareback Anthias is also known as the Squarespot, Purple Blotch Basslet, Squareblock, Square, or Mirror Anthias. The body of the female is predominantly yellow with a lavender belly, and often a thin blue line extending from nose to pectoral fin. Males are predominantly pink with a lavender belly and have a lighter rectangular shape on the side.
To help make them feel secure you should provide lots of live rock for hiding. In the ocean, they are commonly found on the outer reefs where there is very strong water movements and providing strong water movement using multiple power heads in your aquarium will most likely be rewarded with increased activity from this fish. Open tops could spell trouble with these beauties because they will jump when frightened. Also have the ability for a female in the harem to change into a male if the male dies. Males have a brighter red dorsal fin.
