Red Chromide Cichlid
The red chromide cichlid, sometimes called the orange chromide, is wild caught from India and is remarkable in that this species can tolerate brackish water, fresh water, salt water, and high Ph water. The chromide fish grows to only three inches and will feed on frozen food and cichlid pellets. The red and orange chromide are the same species, just a slight color variation. The green chromide is Etroplus suratensis, a separate species but similar in all accounts but color.
