Green Pacman Frog

Pacman frogs are famous for their giant Pacman Arcade mouth – in fact grown adults may be fed pinkie mice (but no more than once every couple weeks). Normally these not so adorable pets will thrive on meal worms and crickets. This is a terrestrial species – the frog only needs to soak in water every couple days. In fact these frogs are such bad swimmers that they will drown in a deep bowl so just provide a deep dish. Native to the Amazon basin the pacman frog lives in leaf litter on the bottom of the rainforest floor and eats anything that can fit in its giant mouth. In the home a small aquarium and soft litter three to four inches deep will suffice. Coconut litter (clean – no fertilizer enhanced)  from the local garden store is perfect litter.
