Lapradei Bichir
The lapradei bichir is what is called a “lower jaw” bichir meaning the lower jaw is longer and more predominant than the upper jaw. Lapradei bichirs are rare and in the aquairum business the upper jaw Senegalese species is more common. The pattern is a very bold horizontal line with checkered markings. For collectors of bichirs this is a must have species.
