Iridescent Shark
Another big catfish from Asia is the iridescent shark, or panga catfish. The iridescent nod comes from the reflective silver body of the fish which can give the illusion that it glows – it doesn’t. It does grow and will reach 12 inches in the aquarium and is known to get to 3 feet in the wild. The panga cat, because of the name, is confused with the wild panga catfish from India that can get to ten feet and is a major food source around the World. Sorry if you are hungry, the iridescent shark wont grow that big. These fish prefer to school in the wild, and we recommend at least three if your tank can handle these fast swimmers.
