Cory Hastatus
The hastatus cory is a rare pygmy cory from Brazil. The regular pygmy pygmeus cory is often misidentified as the more expensive hastatus. A true hastatus has a clear body with only a black dot on the tail. The black dot on close examination is in the shape of a spear – hence the name. “Hastatus” is Latin for “with a spear”.
