Pink Medaka Rice Fish
Rice fish are similar to killifish but belong to their own genus “Onyzias”. Spread throughout Asia, from China to Japan. Rice fish are schooling fish that swim near the surface of rice paddies to control the mosquito population. The pink medaka rice fish is bred to display a bold solid white and pinkish body so they can be seen in the rice fields – and of course in aquarium and ponds! Rice fish are sold individually but do best in a School of six or more. These are hardy fish that can handle temperatures down to the high 50s.
