Watermelon Zoanthids

This zoanthid are easy to keep and are a great choice for the beginner. Zoanthids and Palythoa will grow and reproduce by budding. The Polyp has the ability to sting other polyps or corals. While the sting is not strong, be sure to provide sufficient space between the Colony Micro Polyp and other corals because of its semi-aggressive temperament and potential to crowd out neighbors. Some Zoanthids and Palythoa contain a powerful neurotoxin called palytoxin in its flesh that can be extremely harmful if it comes in contact with your blood stream. By harmful we mean deadly.
